A Day at the Armory - The World of USFA

Shoot Magazine article
SHOOT Magazine's reporter came out to Connecticut and toured USFA's factory. The result is an in-depth article on USFA and the man behind it - Douglas Donnelly. More.

The World of USFA

Welcome to United States Fire Arms. All of our firearms are handcrafted, historically accurate re-creations that reflect the craftsmanship and quality of the firearms once made under the “Blue Dome.”

When customers tour our factory they are often struck by the simplicity of our tools. Our workers have some of the finest most complicated machines ever invented and the latest in software to power them. But Today - as it was so long ago - the real ingenuity resides in their skill as craftsmen - with their own two hands. Of course our modern CNC milling and lathe machines are highly useful, but the individual hands that work each part with such care and purpose can never be replaced by the smartest machine.

The ability to create with one's hands is fast becoming a rarity in today's world. Here, as it must have been 100 years ago, we accept some measure of both. As we enter a new millennium we can look back and see that no matter what industry or how complicated the task, it all begins and ends with skilled hands. The combination of technology and handcraft is the foundation of USFA's focus of continuous improvement and a World Class experience for those who appreciate quality. We are the only Gun Company in Hartford, USFA products are 100% American Made.

Enjoy your tour of The World of U.S. Fire Arms. In this website, you will experience what is possible when you put real creativity and a respect for history into action.

Custer Battlefield Gun

The Legend of the Cowboy

“Today, the Legend of the Cowboy is the strongest multi-cultural force in the world. From Asia to Europe, the cowboy and his most famous Six Gun continue to give testament to those traditional values of responsibility and sacrifice; an overwhelming confidence and faith that one man alone can triumph… and because he does succeed, the avenues of Democracy remain open for us all with an understanding about Freedom that is uniquely American.”
